Job Summary
Inpatient and emergency department urology consultations; perform intra-operative consultations; manage urgent urologic procedures and surgeries (stones, gross hematuria, torsion, trauma, urinary retention); provide comprehensive inpatient post-operative care; collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, ED physicians, and subspecialists; participate in surgical quality improvement and patient safety programs; supervise/mentor medical students or residents/APPs. Requires MD/DO, board certification/eligibility in Urology, MA licensure, strong communication and teamwork; hospital-based academic setting with opportunities for clinical/translational research and academic appointment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing high-acuity urologic emergencies in a hospital-based setting
