Job Summary
Urology Surgicalist role at UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA focused on inpatient and emergency department urology care, performing urgent and emergent urologic procedures, and managing hospitalized patients. Collaborates with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and surgical subspecialists; participates in surgical quality improvement and patient safety programs; may supervise or mentor medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers. Opportunities for clinical, basic, translational, and health-related quality research; an academic appointment commensurate with experience and training.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable with high-acuity urologic emergencies in a hospital-based setting
