Job Summary
Urology Surgicalist role focused on inpatient and emergency department urology care, including inpatient and ED consultations, intra-operative consultations, urgent and emergent urologic procedures, post-operative management, and collaboration with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and subspecialists. The position supports academic activity with potential supervision or mentoring of students and residents, and offers opportunities for clinical, basic, translational, and health-related quality research within a high-volume, hospital-based academic environment. The successful candidate will operate in a setting with access to advanced OR technology, 24/7 imaging, interventional radiology support, and a collaborative team, with an emphasis on high-impact inpatient urologic care and patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing high-acuity urologic emergencies in a hospital-based setting
