Job Summary
Inpatient and emergency department urology consultations; perform intra-operative consultations; manage urgent and emergent urologic procedures and surgeries (e.g., obstructing stones, gross hematuria, testicular torsion, urologic trauma, urinary retention); provide comprehensive care for hospitalized urology patients including post-operative care;Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and subspecialists; participate in surgical quality improvement and patient safety programs; maintain thorough documentation in the EMR; may supervise or mentor medical students or residents; offers an academic appointment with opportunities for clinical, basic, translational, and health-related quality research.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.
