Urology APP (NP/PA)

Urology Advanced Practice Provider role in Falls Church, VA. Daily writing of progress notes and assessment/presentation of ER and inpatient consults. Writing consult notes for attending review. Perform and assist with bedside procedures including complex catheter placements/removals, suprapubic catheter exchanges, urinary catheter irrigation for clot retention, irrigation of priapism, incision and drainage of scrotal abscesses, and other procedures. Place orders for admissions/discharges; interpret labs and radiologic studies; field calls from nurses; coordinate multidisciplinary care and patient education; conduct outpatient visits. Some opportunity for first-assisting in the OR as service needs permit or require. Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program. Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA). BLS. Virginia license and DEA. Prior urology experience preferred or minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
