Job Summary
Urologist needed to join a joint recruitment effort by UAB Department of Urology and Infirmary Health to build a robust Urology/Urologic Oncology department in Mobile, AL. The role involves joining an expanding team and collaborating within an academic medical milieu (UAB Heersink School of Medicine; O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center) to provide general and subspecialty urology care, engage in clinical and translational research, and participate in academic initiatives. The position offers competitive compensation aligned with MGMA benchmarks in a large, not-for-profit health system with multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities, and includes affiliation with UAB Medicine and Infirmary Cancer Care. Board-certified urologists and fellows are encouraged to apply, with the opportunity to contribute to a growing program in the Southeast.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified Urologist or pursuing board certification in urology
- Experience or training in general urology, cancer urology, and other urologic subspecialties desired
- Clinical or academic experience in urology and translational research would be beneficial
- Ability to work within an academic health system and participate in clinical trials and research collaborations
