Job Summary

Conduct outpatient urologic oncology clinic and procedure-based services for prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers, with emphasis on early detection, minimally invasive evaluation, and cancer survivorship. Perform flexible and rigid cystoscopy, bladder biopsy, fulguration, and transperineal prostate biopsy in a dedicated suite supported by University of Michigan Health imaging, pathology, and biomarker testing. Maintain a balanced clinical model of approximately 50% clinic and 50% operating room care while participating in quality initiatives such as the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative. Join the founding team of the new Troy Center for Specialty Care, scheduled to open in 2027, within a nationally recognized academic department.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
Medical degree
Board certification in urology
Urologic oncology fellowship training
Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Michigan
Ability to provide outpatient oncology care
Ability to perform procedure-based services
Ability to provide comprehensive care for prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers
Ability to perform early detection
Ability to perform minimally invasive evaluation
Ability to provide cancer survivorship
Ability to perform flexible and rigid cystoscopy
Ability to perform bladder biopsy and fulguration
Ability to perform transperineal prostate biopsy
Ability to perform other minor urologic oncology procedures
Ability to work in a modern, dedicated procedure and cystoscopy suite
Ability to work with access to imaging
Ability to work with access to magnetic resonance imaging-fusion capabilities
Ability to work with access to pathology
Ability to work with access to biomarker testing
Ability to work with access to multidisciplinary oncology care
Ability to focus on clinical practice
Ability to work without research requirements
Ability to work without resident teaching requirements
Ability to work without student teaching requirements
Ability to work at the Troy site
Ability to work in a high-demand region
Ability to work in a region with limited access to subspecialty oncologic urology
Ability to serve as a founding member of the Troy team
Ability to work with the clinical infrastructure of University of Michigan Health
