Job Summary
Implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Strategies for adults with developmental disabilities, providing functional, social, and vocational skills training in community and program settings. Deliver care, supervision, and one-to-one attendant support while assisting with personal care, mobility, and safety needs. Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress, service delivery, and incidents, and transport participants to community activities using agency vehicles. Promote positive behaviors through coaching and reinforcement while ensuring compliance with HCAR policies, confidentiality standards, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid California driver license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within required timeline
- Ability to successfully complete required background clearance
- Ability to successfully complete fingerprinting
- Ability to successfully complete TB clearance
- Ability to successfully complete physical examination
- Ability to successfully complete other employment related screenings
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of related experience working with individuals with developmental, intellectual, behavioral, or other disabilities
- Related college coursework in social welfare, special education, psychology, rehabilitation, or a comparable field
- Behavior management or positive behavioral support experience
