Job Summary
Caring for ill, aging, or disabled individuals in their residences by performing light housework, meal preparation, medication reminders, shopping, and personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and assist clients with daily activities while traveling between sites as shift times and client needs vary. Work with hospice patients and those with Alzheimer's or dementia, maintaining a sympathetic attitude toward the sick. Requires a valid driver's license, insured automobile, and minimum one year of professional home care experience. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass a TB test or chest X-ray. Located in Bensalem, PA, with flexible scheduling ranging from 4 to 12-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, insured automobile, and personal transportation
- Minimum 1 years of professional home care experience
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate required
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick
- Enjoy spending time with seniors!
- TB test- PPD or QuantiFERON (both within the past year) or Chest X0-ray (within the past 5 years)
- Be willing to work with Hospice patients
- Travel is required
- Must be available for ALL SHIFTS- 4-12 hours long FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
