Job Summary
Assist clients with daily living skills including grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene while supporting mobility, transfers, and light exercises. Prepare healthy meals, perform basic housekeeping, and provide transportation to appointments and errands. Offer companionship and social engagement while keeping detailed notes of care and changes. Maintain a clean record as a driver with a valid license is preferred. Bilingual Italian/English is required; Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, and Creole are also welcome. Full-time, part-time, hourly, live-in, and overnight shifts are available in Middletown, CT. Same-day pay, retirement plans, and ongoing training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Italian/English
- Experience in Dementia and Alzheimer's Care
- Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy
- Adaptable to new situations and environments
- A good listener and able to remain calm in stressful situations
- A natural at multitasking
- Reliable and ready to work
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to pass a national background check
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Able to assist with personal hygiene tasks
- Willing to prepare and cook healthy meals
- Able to perform basic housekeeping duties
Desired Qualifications
- Experienced with gait belts, Hoyer lifts, transfer boards, and other equipment
- Drivers with a valid license and reliable vehicle - must have a clean record
- Bilingual in Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, and Creole
