Job Summary
Provide direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in accordance with Life Care standards. Implement and interpret department programs, goals, and policies while performing competency areas including patient safety, sanitation, and rights. Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to facilitate collaborative care within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. Maintain confidentiality, adhere to the Code of Conduct, and utilize therapy software accurately. Full-time and PRN positions offer flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and a 401(k) match. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
