Job Summary
COTA provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients under physician referral and the supervision of a licensed OT in post-acute care settings. Responsibilities include implementing and interpreting department programs, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining patient rights and safety, ensuring confidentiality, utilizing therapy software, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care. New graduates are welcome to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email is expected, along with adherence to Life Care standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
- COTA certification (NBCOT)
- New grads welcome
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Will adhere to Life Care's Code of Conduct and comply with mandatory compliance training
- Knowledge of post-acute care facility practices and regulations
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team and coordinate with patients and families
