Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Abound Health's Residential Group Homes, you will provide hands-on support with daily living activities, assist residents with ADLs, support community participation and behavioral needs, and help individuals develop independence. Responsibilities include building positive relationships, assisting with meals and hygiene, facilitating learning and communication with adaptive tools, monitoring health and safety, documenting and coordinating with the care team, and participating in ongoing training for growth opportunities. Compensation starts at $18/hour with a $1,000 signing bonus and options for full-time or part-time schedules, plus paid onboarding and benefits eligibility based on hours. Prior experience with disabilities is not required as paid training is provided, and a supportive team environment emphasizes compassionate care, documentation, and patient engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
