Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving wound care services, including assessing wounds, monitoring healing progress, and performing dressing changes. Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications, educate families on treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with physicians to develop care plans while following infection-control and patient-safety standards. Float to other areas as required. This 13-week contract begins August 31, 2026, for days shifts in Mattoon, IL, requiring an RN with medical-surgical and wound care experience, plus BLS and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility location
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Wound care experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- BLS – AHA certification
- ACLS certification
- Strong assessment skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
