Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex and evolving medical needs using the nursing process. Assess patients, monitor changes, implement interventions, administer medications, and evaluate outcomes while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Delegate care to support staff and float to other PCU or Med-Surg units as needed. This Registered Nurse role requires 2+ years of experience with specific Neuro PCU expertise, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS skills. The position offers a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM, with 36 hours guaranteed and a pay rate of $62/hour for local candidates. Active Michigan RN licensure and a current PCU skills checklist are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of RN experience
- Neuro PCU experience
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- Active Michigan RN License
- Current PCU skills checklist
- Two recent supervisory references
