Urgent Care Veterinary Technician

Job Summary

Provide outstanding patient care for canine and feline patients in a fast-paced urgent care clinic, managing common cases like wound management, ear infections, and euthanasia. Perform hands-on animal handling including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring while executing clinical skills such as phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation. Assist with facility maintenance and deliver client education. This role requires regular on-site presence, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. Full-time staff may travel for on-site training.

Required Qualifications

  • Full-time and Part-Time Veterinary Technicians
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
  • Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation
  • Regular on-site presence
  • Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
