Job Summary
Physician role delivering urgent care via telehealth/virtual care with a focus on addiction care and general telemedicine services. Responsibilities include patient assessments, review of medical history, appropriate treatment decisions, order and interpret lab tests, and collaboration with a team of physicians, NPs, nurses, and support staff. Maintain medical documentation for continuity of care and stay current with telehealth best practices. The position offers flexible scheduling, the potential for fully virtual work with occasional in-person hybrid opportunities, and compensation anchored to hourly/consult-based rates (approximately $200/hour with potential earnings reflecting 15–20 hours per week); licensing in multiple states and ongoing licensure support are provided. Training on telemedicine platforms and EMRs is provided; onboarding may include buprenorphine training. Location is indicated as Asheville, NC for appearance purposes but the role supports work-from-anywhere telemedicine.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in at least three U.S. states (preferably five) with willingness to obtain additional licenses (assistance and costs covered)
- Experience treating patients in telehealth or high-volume in-person settings
- Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
- Ability to set own schedule and work from anywhere (telemedicine-based practice)
- Ability to provide virtual urgent care and assess/treat patients remotely
- Buprenorphine training may be part of onboarding
