Urgent Care Senior Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary

Manage patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. Handle animal restraint, sample collection, and monitoring while performing clinical tasks like phlebotomy, catheter placement, and drug calculation. Assist with wound management, ear infections, and euthanasia using in-house lab equipment and digital x-ray. Support facility maintenance and educate clients on care plans. Full-time role requiring flexible evening, weekend, and holiday hours, plus on-site training travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • This position requires regular on-site presence
  • Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
  • Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
