Urgent Care Senior Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary
Provide outstanding patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art urgent care clinic. Handle patients requiring wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia while performing animal restraint, sample collection, and monitoring. Execute clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation. Manage facility maintenance and educate clients. This full-time role requires flexible evening, weekend, and holiday hours, on-site presence, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. Candidates must have prior customer service and hospital animal experience.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- This position requires regular on-site presence
- Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
- Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
