Urgent Care Senior Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct patient care for canine and feline urgent cases including wound management, ear infections, and euthanasia while performing animal handling tasks like patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring. Execute clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation using cloud-based EMR and in-house lab equipment. Assist with facility maintenance and provide client education in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full-time staff may travel for on-site training and onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- This position requires regular on-site presence
- Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
- Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
