Job Summary
Conduct timely and accurate nursing triage for patients presenting to Urgent Care, assessing needs and prioritising care while recognising clinical deterioration to escalate appropriately. Provide high-quality nursing and procedural care, including wound care, plastering, and assistance with clinical procedures, working collaboratively with Medical Practitioners and the wider clinical team. Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care to patients, families, and carers, providing appropriate health education and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to workplace health and safety initiatives. Requires current AHPRA registration, minimum three years' experience as a Registered Nurse, and availability for evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years' experience in one or more of the following: Emergency Department nursing; or Nursing triage; or ICU/CCU nursing; or Rural or remote nursing
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to recognise patient deterioration and escalate appropriately
- Successful applicants will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and, where applicable, National Police and International Police Checks
- Comply with our child safety policies and Code of Conduct
- Complete mandatory child safety training on commencement and annually
- Maintain professional standards that support the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable people
Desired Qualifications
- Previous triage, Emergency Department or remote nursing experience will be highly regarded
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and delegate appropriately
- A genuine commitment to patient-centred care
