Job Summary
Conduct thorough nursing assessments, triage patients promptly, and perform hands-on procedural care including suturing and plastering. Identify and escalate emergencies or patient deterioration appropriately while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care in collaboration with medical practitioners. Maintain accurate patient documentation, provide health education to empower patients, and promote workplace health and safety by reporting incidents and hazards. Work evenings and weekends across ForHealth's urgent care centres, ensuring continuity of care and supporting the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- Experience in one or more of the following: 3 years' experience in an Emergency Department setting; OR 3 years' triage experience; OR 3 years' experience in ICU, CCU, rural or remote nursing
- Previous experience in Emergency Department triage or remote nursing
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and delegate appropriately
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check if not already obtained, with an International Police Check where relevant
- Comply with child safety policies and the Code of Conduct
- Complete mandatory child safety training on commencement and annually
- Maintain professional standards that support the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable people
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in Emergency Department triage or remote nursing is preferred
