Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Urgent Care providing triage, front-line nursing care, and patient-centered services across ForHealth Urgent Care centres. Responsibilities include triage of patients, hands-on procedural care (sutures, plastering), wound care, and education to patients and families. Requires current AHPRA registration, 3 years of experience in emergency/triage/ICU or rural remote nursing, and compliance checks (Working with Children’s check, National Police check). Availability evenings and weekends; no overnight shifts. Opportunities to work within a growing urgent care network with a focus on safety, documentation, and high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Available evenings and weekends
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting OR 3 years of triage experience OR 3 years of experience in ICU, CCU, Rural or remote nursing
- Working with Children’s check and National Police check if not already obtained
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Autonomous working and delegation when appropriate
- Passion for patient-centered care and a personable approach
