Job Summary
Provide medical care to patients in an urgent care setting, including walk-in treatments, follow-up care, and referrals. Perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, and evaluate urgent care cases and emergencies. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies while assessing and treating minor injuries and illnesses. Maintain accurate medical records, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare providers. Work 12-14 shifts per month, including evenings and weekends as needed. Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with current Illinois licensure and CPR/BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Proficient in performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing medications
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, emergency protocols, and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
- Current licensure in the state of Illinois and CPR/BLS certification
