Job Summary
Urgent Care Physician position in Moncks Corner, SC delivering high-quality medical care to adults and children in Prisma Health Urgent Care. The role includes evaluating and planning patient care, performing procedures (suturing, drainage of abscesses), interpreting diagnostics (X-rays, EKGs), maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting operations and patient satisfaction. Must maintain certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NALS) and participate in professional development, with responsibilities reporting to RMD/ACOD. Flexible 3-day/12-hour FT schedule with no overnight shifts; competitive benefits, CME allowance, PTO, malpractice tail coverage, and 401K available.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Licensed Physician in accordance with the state of South Carolina
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
