Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and episodic conditions, performing procedures like laceration repair, abscess drainage, and DOT physicals. Order and interpret diagnostic testing including in-house labs and imaging, while prescribing medications and providing patient education. Document encounters in the Experity EMR and collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Work in a fully equipped clinic with an average volume of 3-4 patients per hour, supported by established protocols and clinical leadership. Full-time rotating 3-4 schedule with no on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed MD or DO in Alabama, or eligible for licensure
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
