Job Summary
Urgent Care Physician sought in North Carolina to provide age-appropriate history-taking, virtual exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation across pediatric to adult patients. You will deliver high-quality patient care, maintain accurate records, coordinate with provider and support teams, order/interpret tests, counsel patients, and participate in administrative duties and cross-coverage. Must have at least 3 years of post-residency experience in fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care settings, be board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine + Pediatrics, possess an active medical license in an IMLC state, and maintain Medicare active status. Flexible scheduling includes weekday evenings and weekend shifts; 32 hours per week minimum (32 hours/wk min) with a total annualized compensation around $180,000, plus guaranteed base, equity, benefits, and productivity incentives discussed during interview. Responsibilities also include keeping up with medical research, providing virtual care, and collaborating with leadership. Location: North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified physician
- Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine residency
- Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine + Pediatrics (dual boarded)
- Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
- Eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLCC)
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state; residing in an IMLC state is required
- Experience with urgent care or primary care outpatient settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with technology
- Not under current exclusion or sanction by health-care programs (Medicare/Medicaid)
