Job Summary
Physicians at Prisma Health Urgent Care deliver exceptional patient care to adults and children, ensuring high standards of patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include planning and implementing quality medical care, providing comprehensive documentation, participating in operational support activities, and maintaining professional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and others as required. Candidates must be licensed in South Carolina and board certified or eligible in Family or Emergency Medicine, with prior experience in urgent care settings preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physician in accordance with the state of South Carolina
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
