Job Summary
Urgent Care/Internal Medicine physician needed to diagnose and treat acute non-life-threatening illnesses in an outpatient urgent care setting. Responsibilities include managing acute presentations and chronic disease exacerbations, performing minor procedures (laceration repair, abscess incision and drainage, splinting), interpreting point-of-care tests, ECGs, and X-rays, triage and disposition decisions, and leading a multidisciplinary clinic team. Requires strong clinical acumen, excellence in bedside manner, proficiency with modern EHR systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Schedule options include full-time or part-time with shifts that may include evenings and rotating weekends; no overnight on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Active DEA registration and ACLS certification; PALS preferred for pediatric populations
