Job Summary
Urgent Care Physician needed at University Hospitals Urgent Care in Broadview Heights, OH. Responsibilities include evaluating and providing high-quality medical care to adults and children, ensuring patient satisfaction, documenting services, and supporting operations. Requirements include board certification or eligibility, active medical license in the state, DEA registration, experience with suturing and abscess drainage, reading X-rays and EKGs, and maintaining certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NALS). The role involves adherence to professional bylaws, resource management, and collaboration with the area clinical operations team; compensation includes a sign-on bonus, flexible scheduling (3-day/12-hour weeks for FT), malpractice coverage, benefits, CME, PTO, 401K, and career growth. Reports to the Area Clinical Operations Director.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
