Job Summary
Urgent Care Physician Assistant (PA-C) provides urgent and non-urgent outpatient care in an ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include taking detailed patient histories, conducting comprehensive physical examinations, establishing diagnoses, ordering appropriate laboratory tests and referrals, counseling patients and families on health and disease, maintaining medical records, participating in clinic protocol development, and providing leadership to medical support staff. Requires active Florida PA license, ability to perform minor procedures (e.g., laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, pelvic exams), and strong interpersonal skills. Schedule includes 4 shifts per week with alternate weekends; signing bonus offered. Prior experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Active Florida license as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Prescribing of medications and controlled substances
- Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards patients
- Ability to perform minor procedures (laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, etc.)
- Adapt to changing situations and relate to culturally diverse patients and communities
- eClinicalWorks experience (preferred)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a schedule with 4 shifts per week and alternate weekends
