Job Summary
Treat pediatric and adult patient populations of all ages while performing minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints. Conduct overview reads of EKGs and X-rays, collaborating with on-site Rad Techs, Medical Assistants, and Paramedics for support. Utilize an integrated Epic EMR with Dragon Dictate and take advantage of scribe assistance during shifts. Practice urgent care medicine exclusively, with no primary care, DOT, or occupational medicine duties. Work within a supportive clinical leadership team offering mentorship and the flexibility to rotate between Portland and Vancouver locations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an urgent care or emergency room setting
- Ability to comfortably perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), overview reads of EKGs and X-rays
- Current applicable state licensure to practice as a PA or ability to obtain licensure upon date of hire
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of PA's
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers from the American Heart Association
