Job Summary
Advanced Practice Providers plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care for adults and children in urgent care settings, with responsibilities including documentation, resource management, collaboration with center physicians, and delivering compassionate patient care. The role requires board certification or eligibility for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in Ohio, an advanced degree from a recognized NP/PA program, DEA registration, DOT certification, and active BLS (with additional certifications such as ACLS/PALS/ATLS/NALS as required). Candidates should have experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented approach to delivering uncompromising patient care. The position offers FT (30 or 36 hours) and PT (24 hours) schedules with a flexible 3-day/12-hour week for FT, plus competitive compensation, CME allowance, PTO, malpractice coverage, comprehensive benefits, and career growth opportunities, reporting to a Regional Medical Director or ACOD.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Ohio
- Current DEA registration
- Must be DOT certified
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
