Job Summary
Provide urgent care medical services to adults and children, evaluating and managing acute/urgent presentations in cooperation with center physicians. Deliver high-quality patient care with documentation and record-keeping, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to policies. Maintain and update certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and any additional specialty trainings), read diagnostic studies including X-rays and EKGs, perform procedures such as suturing and drainage of abscesses, and contribute to continuous professional development. Collaborate with the medical team, participate in meetings, and support operations; must be licensed as an NP or PA in Ohio, with current DEA registration and DOT certification. This role reports to regional leadership and emphasizes compassionate, team-oriented care in an urgent care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Ohio
- Current DEA registration
- DOT certification
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
