Job Summary
Provide high-quality urgent care medical services as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for adults and children; perform patient assessment, documentation, and procedures (e.g., suturing, drainage of abscesses) with appropriate resource management; interpret diagnostic studies (X-ray, EKG) and contribute to care plans; maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) and pursue credentialing per center policies; collaborate with center physicians, participate in meetings, and support operations; contribute to patient satisfaction and continuous professional development; on-site at Lakewood and Rocky River urgent care centers.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Ohio
- Current DEA registration
- Must be DOT certified
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
