Job Summary

Advanced Practice Providers in Urgent Care evaluate and implement high-quality medical care for both adults and children in collaboration with center physicians. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional patient satisfaction, completing accurate documentation, maintaining records for appropriate reimbursement, participating in meetings and professional development, and ensuring adherence to center policies. Requires ongoing credentialing, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NALS or equivalent certifications, DEA registration, DOT certification, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff. Reports to Regional Medical Director and Area Clinical Operations Director; competitive compensation with benefits, CME allowance, and 3-day/12-hour weekly schedule for FT status.

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
  • Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of South Carolina
  • Current DEA registration
  • Must be DOT certified
  • Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
  • Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
  • BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
  • Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
