Job Summary
Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams, evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of conditions across the lifespan. Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, develop and document treatment plans, and manage acute, chronic, and mental health conditions for pediatric and adult patients. Request consultations or referrals with other health care providers when appropriate, counsel and educate patients and families on treatment plans, and maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based care. Provide cross-coverage for tasks such as reviewing lab results and offer scheduling flexibility, including evenings and weekends. Requires an active RN compact license and licensure in multiple states, with a minimum of 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed in Maine AND other state(s)
- Broad clinical expertise
- Passion for improving healthcare access and quality
- At least 3 years experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Active RN compact license
- Licensure in multiple states
- Five or more active state licenses
- Must be scheduled between 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Required to work every other weekend (both Saturday AND Sunday)
- 8-hour shifts (scheduled between 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), rotating between day and evening hours every other weekend
- 2 holiday shifts required per calendar year
- Graduate of an accredited Master's or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- Prior graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active multi-state licensure
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programs
Desired Qualifications
- Prior telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience
- Experience with Athena EMR
