Job Summary
Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner providing virtual comprehensive care to patients across ages in a remote-friendly environment. Responsibilities include conducting age-appropriate virtual history and exams, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of acute, chronic, and mental health conditions, developing and documenting treatment plans, ordering and interpreting tests, coordinating referrals, counseling patients and families, and ensuring up-to-date knowledge of best practices. Requires board-certified FNP with 3+ years in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care, active NP and RN licenses (multi-state licenses preferred), and proficiency with EMR systems (Athena EMR preferred). Telemedicine experience and flexibility to cover evenings/weekends are valued; role supports remote collaboration and a work-from-home reimbursement program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- Active NP license and RN licensure in accordance with state requirements
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active RN compact license
- Active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programs
