Job Summary
Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams, evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of conditions across the lifespan. Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, develop and document treatment plans, and manage acute, chronic, and mental health conditions for pediatric and adult patients. Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate, counsel and educate patients on treatment plans, and provide cross-coverage by reviewing lab results. Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based care while ensuring active Medicare status. Weekday shifts run 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with weekend rotation every other Saturday and Sunday. Requires an active RN compact license, multi-state licensure (5+ preferred), and at least 3 years in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care. Includes productivity incentives for exceeding visit targets.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed in Utah
- Broad clinical expertise
- Passion for improving healthcare access and quality
- At least 3 years experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Active RN compact license
- Licensure in multiple states
- Five or more active state licenses
- Graduate of an accredited Master's or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- Prior graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active multi-state licensure
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen
- Ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status
- In good standing with Medicare/Medicaid
- Not excluded from participation in federal health programs
- Must be scheduled between 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Required to work every other weekend (both Saturday AND Sunday)
- 8-hour shifts
- Rotating between day and evening hours every other weekend
- 2 holiday shifts required per calendar year
Desired Qualifications
- Multi licensed strongly preferred
- Prior telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience
- Experience with Athena EMR
