Job Summary
Deliver virtual comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan as a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner. Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams, diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop and document treatment plans, manage acute/chronic/mental health conditions, coordinate referrals, counsel and educate patients and families on treatment plans, maintain knowledge of best practices, provide cross-coverage for tasks such as reviewing lab results, and offer scheduling flexibility including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with RN licensure
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
- Active RN compact license
- Active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - in good standing with Medicare/Medicaid
