Job Summary
Medical Assistant for Urgent Care at Carbon Health. Responsibilities include taking vitals, patient history, triage, assisting with procedures (incision and drainage, lacerations, wound care), conducting labs (urinalysis, urine pregnancy tests, blood glucose, rapid tests), managing front desk/reception duties, and obtaining DOT certification for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, MA program certification, BLS, and willingness to obtain DOT. 1+ year experience preferred; phlebotomy experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (or as otherwise permitted by location by law)
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness to obtain DOT certification
- 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
