Urgent Care Manager

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the centre is safe, efficient, and patient-ready. Coordinate equipment, stock, consumables, facilities issues and site presentation. Lead recruitment, onboarding, rosters, and workforce planning for all site staff. Manage timesheets, shift approvals, and coordinate payroll accuracy. Support training, competencies, and ongoing development of the clinical team. Optimize patient flow, triage processes, and clinical workflows. Ensure compliance with UCC standards, audits, quality, and clinical governance. Manage incidents, risks, cold chain issues and escalate appropriately. Oversee business/practice-management tasks including billing queries, suppliers, site expenses, and reporting. Build strong relationships with local hospitals, PHNs, GPs and community partners to support service growth. Work in a patient facing capacity. This is a full-time position with an approximate 75% clinical/25% non-clinical split, requiring a minimum commitment of one close shift per fortnight and one weekend shift per fortnight. No overnight work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience in urgent care, ED, primary care, paramedicine, or similar
- Previous clinical leadership, management, or supervisory experience
- Triage experience
- Cert IV Training & Assessment
- Ability to work evenings and weekends where required
- Working with Children's check
- National Police check
- International police check where relevant
- Compliance with child safety policies and the Code of Conduct
- Complete mandatory child safety training on commencement and annually
- Maintain professional standards that support the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable people
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical leadership, management, or supervisory experience
- Triage experience is highly regarded
- Cert IV Training & Assessment desirable
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work autonomously, delegate effectively, and lead a multidisciplinary team
- High level of clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and attention to detail
