Job Summary
Conduct detailed patient history assessments, administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with procedures alongside Registered Nurses. Balance 60% hands-on clinical work with 40% administrative duties including Medicare billing, coding, and documentation. Greet patients, manage appointment scheduling, and maintain accurate registration details to ensure a welcoming environment. Support patient guidance by assessing inclusion and exclusion criteria while upholding safety standards and reporting hazards. Maintain compliance with child safety policies and complete mandatory annual training. Requires current AHPRA registration, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and 2–3 years of relevant nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends
- 3 years of experience as a Primary Care/General Practice Nurse
- 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department/similar setting
- 3 years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- A passion for patient-centred care and a personable approach
- You will be required to provide a Working with Children's check
- National Police check if not already obtained
- International police check where relevant
- Comply with child safety policies and the Code of Conduct
- Complete mandatory child safety training on commencement and annually
- Maintain professional standards that support the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable people
