Job Summary
Urgent Care APP (PRN) operates independently to provide urgent care services under general supervision at Denver Health. The role includes examining and diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing procedures within scope and available equipment. The APP collaborates with physicians and other disciplines, may lead clinical coordination or special projects, and participates in staff meetings. Strong emphasis on efficient time management in a fluid clinic setting, adherence to protocols, and the ability to manage medical conditions, order and oversee diagnostic tests, and contribute to education of healthcare students. The position requires a Master’s degree from an accredited medical school and professional licensure (NP- or PA-), CSRC, DEA registration, and BLS. The role is PRN and may involve various administrative tasks to support practice operations. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, documentation, referrals, and continuity of care within established policies, with a focus on urgent care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited medical school
- NP - Nurse Practitioner license - DORA required or PA - Physician Assistant license - State Medical Board required
- CSRC - Controlled Substance Regulation Certification required
- DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration registration required
- BLS - Basic Life Support required (AHA or American Red Cross)
