Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment up to 480V, including motors, VFDs, sensors, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot automation systems such as conveyors, sortation, and ASRS to resolve jams and sensor faults. Perform preventive maintenance, system calibrations, and basic PLC/HMI diagnostics while reading electrical schematics. Document all activities in the CMMS and support continuous improvement efforts. Work Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30pm to 4:00am. Collaborate with team members and vendors to assist junior technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Pneumatics and conveyor systems knowledge
- Basic PLC and controls understanding
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout a shift
- Must be able to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
- Must be able to reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts)
