Job Summary
Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and customers while supervising new hire training and enforcing employment policies. Meet with manufacturer representatives regularly, attend industry trade shows, and oversee branch staff direction to ensure effective personnel utilization. Manage assigned customer orders from origination to delivery, interpret customer needs to offer appropriate plumbing solutions, and arrange product deliveries. Answer inquiries regarding prices, availability, and credit terms; enter sales orders into the Eclipse system; and estimate quotes for prices, warranties, and delivery dates. Occasionally visit job sites to troubleshoot unresolved problems and process warranty claims. Position requires after-hours phone availability and shop opening for customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Strong management or supervisory background
- Plumbing experience (residential, commercial, industrial)
- Ability to learn Eclipse software
- Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
- Critical thinker-using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions
- Mathematical reasoning- ability to choose the correct method or formulas to solve the problem
- Must be able to determine and prioritize workload
- Must be very detail-oriented and focused for accuracy
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload
- Strong organizational skills required
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Physical strength to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
