Job Summary
Assume total department accountability for sales, service profitability, and loss prevention. Recruit, motivate, and lead the store team while managing performance development, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Oversee daily customer service, set expectations, and ensure adherence to company standards and mystery shop results. Conduct productive daily meetings, delegate projects, and uphold Health & Safety regulations. Manage merchandising, display, and stock levels in collaboration with the Visual Merchandising Manager, interpreting local fashion trends to drive creative solutions. Maximize departmental sales through analytical management of merchandise and entrepreneurial skills to exceed store targets.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a management role working in a fast paced, high volume fashion retail environment
- Demonstrates strong operational skills
- An understanding of the Urban Outfitters culture and its appeal to the local market
- Ability to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and a full understanding of the business
Desired Qualifications
- Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
- Stay abreast of current trends and have a sound knowledge of customer profile by keeping up to date with external influences i.e. media and local community
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to achieve and exceed store targets
