Job Summary
Lead and support environmental planning and compliance work including CEQA/NEPA, development of environmental documents and studies, coordination of project tasks among technical staff, subcontractors, and clients, and engagement in business development activities. Roles may include project manager, deputy project manager, task manager, or technical specialist depending on assignment. Contribute to management and preparation of comprehensive planning and regulatory documents (e.g., zoning codes), analyze environmental impacts, and prepare proposals and deliverables in response to client needs. Strong emphasis on client interaction, regulatory compliance, and the ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams; requires ability to work independently in technical report writing related to CEQA/NEPA and permitting, and experience with planning documents such as specific plans, general plans, and master plans. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or related field, 4 years of relevant experience or equivalency, a valid U.S. driver's license, and US citizenship; SF Fair Chance Ordinance applies. Preferred qualifications include 6+ years in urban planning and CEQA/NEPA documentation, ability to support business development, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental planning or related field
- 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in urban planning studies, environmental analysis and document preparation pursuant to CEQA/NEPA
- Valid U.S. Driver's license
- US Citizenship is required
