Job Summary

Accountable for the profitable underwriting of onshore energy business, including new and renewal accounts consistent with business underwriting guidelines. Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and energy clients while executing strategic growth initiatives. Interpret policy language, perform contractual risk transfer analysis, and conduct loss analysis to ensure underwriting compliance. Collaborate with risk engineering, claims, actuarial, and operations teams. Represent AIG as the point of contact for multinational clients, coordinating program design, implementation, and ongoing client service across internal and external stakeholders. Travel as needed to maintain strong client relationships. Requires bachelor's degree, underwriting experience in the chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries, and prior field marketing experience with agent and broker meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training
  • Underwriting experience within the chemical, petrochemical and oil & gas industry
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret business information from multiple sources to make critical account decisions regarding quality of risk
  • Strong decision-making skills to execute on the underwriting intent and develop a profitable book of business
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills with solid ability to build and manage relationships with agents, brokers, customers, and other employees
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage, products, rating and pricing techniques
  • Excellent negotiation and marketing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Applicants will have prior field marketing experience with agent, broker, and customer meetings
  • Travel as needed to maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients

  • Represent AIG as point of contact for Multinational client and program management, coordinating communication and project management across all internal and external stakeholders in respect of program design, implementation and ongoing client service
