Job Summary
The UPS Field Service Technician role involves installing, maintaining, and providing emergency support on UPS equipment nationwide for a leading OEM provider. Requires experience in UPS systems, troubleshooting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years experience in this field
- Ability to troubleshoot down to component level on UPS equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of quality customer service
- Ability to complete Field Service Reports in a timely manner
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturer's specifications
- Ability to work independently and resourceful
- Must be able to perform repeated bending & lifting of up to 75lbs
- Clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of general computer hardware & software applications
- Previous 3rd Party UPS experience
- UPS OEM factory training or experience with Emerson / Liebert / Vertiv; APC / MGE / Schneider, or Eaton / Powerware / PDI
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be home based
- Travel will be nationwide
